Where do they come from? Mostly from the burbs and the better off city areas. But urban, all the way. I'm glad it outrages you, but does it scare you enough to galvanize you to action? State by state they are very methodically getting anti-hunting, anti-trapping, anti-fishing, anti-farming, and animal cruelty laws passed. My state of Maryland has been their target for several years now. We're probably going to lose eventually because lots of folks claim to be outraged, but trying to get them to write to their congressional critter to oppose these draft laws is like pulling teeth. So a few of us show up to testify, to lobby on behalf of the hunters/trappers/farmers, while HSUS and PETA show up with bus after bus, flooding the halls with hundreds of their members. We've won twice, two years running, but it's a heck of an uphill battle. Make no mistake, the animal rights leaders are sharp. Sure, the average member is a dingaling, but people like Wayne Pacelli are damn good at this stuff. He's fantastically skilled in his speach, good looking, articulate and well connected politically. He's darn hard to fight. Outrage is nice, but do you actually do anything to fight back?
