When I was teaching there was a group of "meat haters" (for all the regular reasons) that pretty much occupied one of the tables in the staffroom. A fellow on staff occasionally used to run out and buy a barbequed chicken at a local supermarket for lunch (he was a voracious eater, not pretty to watch). One day he walked in with his foil bag of greasy fowl and plopped himself down at the veggie table and proceeded to tear into this bird, bare-handed. Well I tell you, some stomachs were churning in the veggie section. And it was a total hoot to the rest of us who witnessed it.
