I think there are many good reasons for having a golf cart at the show with you, and so we take one every time. Wouldn't even bother to go if we weren't allowed. We exhibit at about a half dozen local shows each year, and we would be lost without the golf cart. We spend thousands of dollars each year to take our large tractors to these shows (two Rumely Oilpulls, and several others) and I think we make the show much better than it would be otherwise, and I don't care to hear any complaints about our golf cart. We use it for elderly relatives who want to spend a day at the show. And, while my wife is only in her mid-20's, she suffered broken hip as a teen and now has a total hip replacement. She has trouble standing or walking long distances, but loves to come to the shows with us. It's nobody's business if she finds it easier to use the cart, as far as I'm concerned. We've carried our handicap permit with us many times, and have even been accused of using someone else's permit just to ride the cart. What a joke. Unless you're a police officer or an othopaedic surgeon, you'll be told to mind your own business when questioning her use of a cart. We also use it as a mobile tool chest. Most times we'll take three or four large tractors if the show is fairly close by, and with plowing, threshing, sawmilling, and whatever else we might want to do, we go through a lot of grease, oil and gas. Not to mention carrying a small drive belt in case there's trouble starting, maybe a chain, and a tool box, too. And, I don't care to lug that stuff from some parking area a half mile away because people don't like to see someone my age using a cart (I'm 30). If you want show visitors to see our exhibit, the golf cart, and our camper, is the price you'll have to pay. It's costing us a lot of money to do this, so a little consideration from the show organizers is not too much to ask, in my opinion. The rules should allow this stuff (including home made butt buggies) as long as it's being used safely. That's the only rule you need. And that rule should go for everything at the show, from the biggest Case steamer to the smallest Wheel Horse lawn tractor.

New Hitches For Your Old Tractor - by Chris Pratt. For this article, we are going to make the irrational and unlikely assumption that you purchased an older tractor that is in tip top shape and needs no immediate repairs other than an oil change and a good bath. To the newcomer planning to restore the machine, this means you have everything you need for the moment (something to sit in the shop and just look at for awhile while you read the books). To the newcomer that wants to get out and use the machine for field work, you may have already hit a major roadblock. That is the dreaded "proprietary hitch". With the exception of the
