Had one of those moments the other day. I was pasture clipping and was mowing up close to a fence and near some brush and a dry creek bed. As I was approaching the brush / creek bed a deer suddenly jumped up. She'd (doe) been bedded down in the tall grass near the fence row. First time I'd seen a deer on this farm since we've owned it. I'm not sure which one of us it scared the most. It was really nice to see a deer there on our place.
