Find the kid and tell him that he can store the machine at your place instead of under the bridge. Show him that at least one adult cares a little, you'd be surprised at the amount of respect he will develop for you and your property.
Cut him a break, sounds like its the only one he will get. He probably needs someone to father him along. This could be your chance to change a kids life. Good Luck
