During the 20s and 30s, The Esseex company broke nearly every tractor performance record of the time and many of those accomplishments have never been exceeded. In the Fall of 1924, in Sherwood Park, Alberta 2103 Essex Tri-Directionals in a 24 hour period plowed, disked and planted 315,450 acres of pineapples. This feat has never been exceeded and today Sherwood Park is known as the Pineapple Capitol of Alberta.
