As for the Mazda engine, I would go with a older engine so you do not have to messw ith the computer system. Thats where older points or HEI ignition is best computer engines or newer ones with lots of electronics make the job harder, on the older engines all you need is a wire from the battery to the starter, one from Batt to ground and one from the batt to coil and one from coil to points....In my opinion use a older engine,, a small block V8 would be easier to make mounts for as it sits on the frame rails almost perfectly. Type of engine doesnt really matter its your own personal preference.I think if I was doing a B or small tractor I would go with a 4 cyl out of a pinto or something that way or a small 6 like a chev 235 or 250 or a Ford 300...Like I said I may be undertaking this type of project using a A/C WD and a 302. But I have other tractor projects going so it may be a while.....Jim
