As far as my experience with water pump lube additives, the only benefit is its affect on rubber, it does nothing for the bearings since it never comes in contact with them, the only thing in the water pump it can lube is the mechanical seal(designed to run without any lube other than coolant) between the impeller and the bearings. If you do put the water pump lube in your radiator, have a set of hoses on hand, you'll need them before long.
