Pasture can be anything that an animal can walk on and have something to browse on there. Don't be mistaken that it is just a big lawn and needs mown monthly, only mow if there are weeds, they have a tendency to spread and push out the edible grasses. Biggest ticket item for a pasture would be the fences, gates, pens. The owner of livestock must keep them under control. I know of lots of pasture that is useless because there is no well, its a full time part time job to haul water to a tank, whether its 5 cows or 300. Half pasture and half crop would keep you busy every weekend, but you'd be out in the fresh air. Unless you're real familiar with this 8-N, or already own it, I'd go with something newer too. With just the weekend to use, tractor repair can eat up the time, especially when fence needs fixed. John in Nebraska
