Around the Kansas City area I suspect that pasture land is rougher than tillable but they could be very much alike depending on present use. Here in Wisconsin, pasture is usually steep hillside and tillable either ridge top or valley bottom. In my travels near KC I don't recall seeing much hillside. I agree with others that a more modern tractor (esp with power steering) is more useful and probably no more cost. We have 20 acres of what was "pasture" in 1979 and now have mostly woods. We have less than one acre of level land so have let it go natural. No animals to tend so no fences to mend. Hope all works out for you.
