As mentioned before stay away from the Selecto Speed. I owned a Ford 2000 and 3000. Both had the 8 speed transmission. A very experienced farmer who had owned a Selecto Speed warned me to avoid them. Also a mechanic at the Ford tractor dealer warned me to avoid the Selecto Speed and stay with the trusty manual transmission.
