You will have to use a flatbed that is rated for at least the weight of your tractor, and a truck with a hitch and a rated towing capacity exceeding the gross weight of the trailer + tractor. The trailer width is also an issue, since (if tractor facing "foreward") you will probably need to get the back tires of the tractor over the back axle of the trailer to balance the load. You will need two tie downs, I use chains but others prefer vinyl straps. The most efficient method I have found is to pull the tractor foreward slightly farther than you need to, then hook the front chain and back the tractor up to get tension on the chain. Then hook a chain to the back of the tractor and boom it down as tightly as you can, and most of us rednecks baling wire the handle of the boom down to the chain as a safety precaution. Don't be afraid to stop and check the chains and TAKE YOUR TIME, slowing down is usually more of a safety problem than speeding up.
