My 686 works great. I dont even have to split the trailer - just lift up the 3 point. plenty of power to launch my 18' with a 175.

On one beach I just drive down in the water and turn around - unclip the boat and let it float off.

As a side note I've been using marine grease on the front end to keep the water out.
