Laying Furrows or Rows with a CUB

Bought a Cub last Friday and did some much needed cultivating over the weekend and man is that an awesome machine!!! So now I would like to lay of some rows in about 44" increments but none of neighbors or even the people at the tractor supply store seem to be able to agree on the proper method with the CUB. I bought lay off points 5" X 8" to go behind the tires but all they do is make nice trenches with no mounds just a 28" flat space between the trenches. Can any of you cub experts out there help???????
