I have a 25 footer, 14,000 GVW, 20ft deck and 5 ft adjustable beaver tale. I would say that is the minimum so you have enough length to get the load balanced correctly. I have hauled a 37 WC and a 53 WD at the same time. Basically loaded as far to the rear of the flat as I could get and ended up with 1200# on the tongue and 11,000 on the trailer. John
