I'd have to agree with the posts below, but keep in mind there are restorations and then there are RESTORATIONS. Go to some tractor shows and compare tractors which are supposedly restored. Some are near perfect while others leave a lot to be desired, even though they may be mechanically equivalent. Now, if a guy wants to get into "flipping" tractors, that's another story. Find a decent original with rubber good enough to use, clean it up and get it running nice, maybe even shoot a coat of paint on it and some decals, well if you start with something fairly good and get a good price, you could make a good dollar every time when you go to sell it. A lot of guys do that and do OK I'd say.
