First, I am not afraid of power steering, and I am not using my tractor with a loader so nothing will be broken. Next, the live pump from the 450 is way too big for my H - I would need the pump, front cover and plate and cam gear from a 300 or 350 to do that conversion - big bucks.

I was thinking of mounting a pump like people use to hook to small gas engines and running it from the crankshaft. I already have the idea to mount it and run it with a belt - see picture. I don't think a chain drive would work in my case, this guy never runs full throttle.

I was thinking about this pump (click here) which has an 8gpm flow at 3600 RPM. Or maybe even a two stage pump like one of these (click here).

As far as the gpm flow needed for my hydralic needs, the belly pump is fast enough for what I use - what is the flow of that?
