I have had a Murray 16hp B/S for 12 years and have had no problem with the motor. The mowing deck is my problem. My lawn is about 1 1/2 ac and was new with lots of dust and durt, not to mention the rocks. I have replaced the blades (3) about every 2 to 3 years because of the rocks. I have cut small 1" pine trees and about everythine else you can think of. I have really abused this tractor and it is still going strong. Again my problem is the deck and it's shot. Now I am looking for another tractor too because the deck cost about as much as the tractor.
