No special tools required. The gear that is on the pump is a tapered fit and may have to be pulled or pressed off. If I remember correctly the pump will be 312.00 to 370.00 from Kubota. Also, when and if you replace the pump and have finished installing it. Make sure that the three point control does not cause the pump to labor when lift is all the way up with no load on it. This is what shortens the life of the pump.
