8N and mowers

I just bought an 8N and also purchased a 5ft Bush Hog SQ600 mower. The 8N seems to have trouble with this heavy mower. It struggles to lift it, and on a grade, the front wheels pop off the ground making it impossible to steer. Have I set it up wrong (or) is this just too much mower for my little 8N?
