what you're looking for is a different grade of grease than you are used to seeing. regular tube grease is usually #2. i've used an 0 or 00 grease in gear boxes with good results. i'd recommend not using bentonite grease in a transmission, though. bentonite lubricants are used in high heat applications. bentonite is actually a type of clay (ie, dirt). i've seen it get hot enough to cook the lubricant/oil base out of the clay and set up in bearing like ceramic. i'd try to find some 0 grease to try in that tranny. if you want some really good lube products try Hydrotex in Carrollton, TX. www.hydrotexlube.com lubrication consultant's are spread nationwide. i can put you in contact with one via email if you want.
