SHoe, I have used moleboard and disc plows in the red hills off west tn. The disc plow in good condition could be put in the ground anywhere, easier than a moleboard. I am talking about small tractors and plows of the fifties era. Sometimes the molboard esp as they were getting dull would just skim the surface. I don't remember the disc ever getting dull or needing serviceing. I suppose they finally wore out though.
