You gotta realise I can't see it from here either, but what I think is this. That lip seal is not designed to trap high pressure oil within the pump. It is designed to seal the small amount of hyd oil that lubes the shaft and bushing. If you have a new pump that pushes the shaft seal out and dumps hyd oil into the crankcase, I'd be on the horn to the supplier and find out what they are going to do about it. Short of checking the relief pressure of the system which the supplier should be smart enough to ask for, there isn't much you can or should do except get a second new pump. I think the one you have is defective in the area of the drive side end plate/seal.
