John Deere 830

I have a 74 John Deere 830, 3 cyl diesel, I had disassembled (not the engine) for repainting. The engine ran great when disassembled, however I replaced the injectors with new as it was smoking a bit much and the injectors looked terrible. The cylinders were sprayed with WD40 during rework (2 years). I have it assembled now and added new fuel and bleed system however it refuses to start. Should I use starting fluid?, any ideas or suggestions on starting the engine?
