There never was a company named "McCormick-Deering". When the two merged and bought out others they formed "International Harvester Corporation". If you check the decals on the tractors and engines from that era it reads "McCormick-Deering Farmall Made by International Harvester Company".

The main reason that the two names appeared on the equipment was name recognition. These two men were synonomous with quality and innovative farm equipment and it probably helped them sell a lot of tractors.
