I have a home made trailer made from a house trailer frame, we took the cut off extra parts and added it to the frame, I also had a old 8x17 trailer here made from 2 inch steel tube, the old 8x16 trailer is now mounted on top of the house trailer frame, it has 3 axles with mounts for a fourth one. My only problem is it is too high. So now I am going to move the axles to above the springs so that it will be lower, as it is I have hauled 5 tons with no trouble. I pull it with either my 81 ford 1 ton 4x4 or my 86 ford half ton 2 wheel drive, the half ton has a straight 6 engine and a 4 speed trans and it handles the trailer better then the 1 ton with a 400 and a auto,,,Jim
