For several years I used a Danuser wood splitter. It was a good machine. Tried it with the tractor hydraulics and found it slow. We had a Ford 2000 with a 730 (?) loader. This loader had a front mount pump and it's own hydrualic resevoir. We had the dealer install a diverter valve so that you could direct the hydrualic flow away from the loader arms and to the splitter. Instead of using the 6 GPM pump on the tractor we were able to send something like 12 GPM to it. It really worked well then.
