No duty on farm equipment, I did not pay taxes (pst,gst) the dealer I bought from did not charge the taxes because I brought it over the border myself.
Exchange is VERY attractive right now (do the exchange yourself, I have used a casino or exchange bank). I bought my tractor in Ontario 1 year ago, looking back, I belive it was still a very good deal...no problems with the IH 434 either. Call the border crossing you will be using, they will give you the details. Crossing may be more difficult now because of the increased security. Good Luck
