Picnic Lunches Nowadays ... how things have changed !

OK, I'm guilty of posting an off-topic post but thought I'd just pass this little story on. Went to a school picnic today with my daughter and her little kids (the oldest is 7 and the only one in school). The school was having a "bring your own lunch" picnic today at noon so I tagged along to help out with her little guys. When eating our lunch, I was surprised at how many families were eating their picnic lunches that had just been picked up from McDonalds or Burger King or Pizza Hut or some other fast food place. And of course the inevitable cans of pop. Whatever happened to sandwiches and potatoe salad and lemonade? Well, we had a nice lunch anyways and I really didn't envy anyone eating all that crap but they sure seemed to be enjoying it, greasy fries and all. I guess that's what's happening these days, and it's too bad ... some of those little fellas are probably never gonna know what a nice picnic lunch is all about.
