Scott, First off don't settle for less, hold out for what your lookin for. I looked a long time at different sites and classifieds and ran into the same problem... too far. But the longer you look the better educated you become, for that 'really good deal'. The last two tractors I bought were listed in the classified ads in the St Louis Post Dispatch (St Louis is less than 100 miles away). They were listed under "farm implements" and in both cases the people selling were city people with no real use for the tractor and asking what I believed was a very reasonable price. Try checking whatever large city paper is closest to you. It may take a while, but that will give you time to hone your skills with convincing the Mrs.
