That's exactly what happens to me as well, especially with this "Kletz" virus that gets into the inbox and you can't get rid of it, even though the Norton system says it's gone. Somehow by fluke, I did manage to eliminate it twice. What a nightmare. I've read that the Windows Outlook Express is a bad email system to use and there are others much better and virus resistant
