check the archives in the jd forum there was a good post about adjusting the frontend on a JD about 3-4 months ago very indepth and all encompasing. its not to difficult but its involves several adjustments for different thing. the first ? is is there play only when the wheel is straight or also when the wheel is turned? if yes to both then you can move the eccenteric some. if there is only play when the wheel is straight then your into more money and work.
