just an observation....here in virginia where we row crop in small fields,,tractors are rough. we also historically used hired help to run the equipment. i think the combination of the two along with high humidity makes for a poor place to purchase an older tractor. a tractor from here made in the sixties looks to be in worse shape than a tractor made in the fifties from the midwest. also most of our old tractors will be small. rarely would a antique (pre 60') tractor be of more than 35 horsepower. i'd say look for large flat fields and family run equipment when looking for antique tractors.
