I have never had a new tractor so I can't give you any advice on what to buy but: 1. Look the tractor over real close. Look for parts that should be cast, are they or are they welded. That will tell you allot about how much was invested in the tractor manufacturing. I looked over a Long and found allot of hand work. 2. Make sure there is a good dealer network out there. 3. Check resale values. 4. Check part availability and prices, i.e. call the parts dept. and ask for a part. Ask yourself what you would buy if the same three tractors were used. Good luck. PS new tractors also break down.
