SER# LOCATION ALLIS WD AND MCORMICK DEERING 22-36

I just purchased an Allis WD-45 and a Mcormick Deering 22-36 at an auction sale and I am trying to locate the serial numbers for them, on the Allis I can not find the serial number plate, and on the Mcormick Deering a old timer told me the plate was on the front of the tank but we looked and it was missing, are these serial numbers casted on the frame anywhere else?? Please!!
