Check with your local Budget rent a truck guys for actual real world estimates of mileage. I would gander 15-17 MPG on a good day. I would think the standard would get 2-3 mpg higher than the auto. It's been a few years since I drove one NY to CA.. not a rocket ship on the hills but very nice otherwise. I have a friend in AZ that has a tow service with a 6 Cyl turbo Isuzu tow truck.. It's a very sweet ride, dependable, and gets excellent mileage.
