I know what you mean by feeling depressed. I bought an Oliver 88 to find out the hydraulics and horsepower were not up to par to pull a New Holland round baler everyone said it would. I then traded for an 880 diesel and the hydraulics were not up to par after overhauling them. Then the fuel pump went out and had to over haul it. Got that fixed and loading hay with the front end loader the tri-cyle front end shaft broke and the front of the tractor hit the ground. got that fixed and traded for a IH684 and been happy ever since and that has been 10 years ago I traded. Hang in there it will get better.
