I know the N series tractors pretty well but not the later Fords. But isn't the hydraulic pump on an 800 similar to the Externally Mounted pump on a Jubilee? Right side (from the seat) by the bell housing where it is run off the flywheel. This is what gives you the live hydraulics because the pump is turning whenever the engine is running whether or not the clutch is pushed in or not. Maybe get an I&T manual for your tractor. The one I have for my N is a huge help. Good luck
