Know how you feel. Wife worked for 24 years in about all aspects of nursing at the local hospital. They got bought out by a larger hospital, and now a number of the older workers are no "no longer with us." They weren't even kind about firing her. Keep your head up, at least you have a trade that you can practice on your own. Aren't many "self employed" nurses around. She screwed up her back so bad on that job, that going back to patient care in another hospital isn't a real choice.
