The good points about the Cubs were the visibility, simplicity and style of the little tractors. The bad side was the lack of power. I think IH rates the early Cubs under engine 13 hp (just about 11 hp PTO). They're kinda underpowered to do heavy mowing...although many people have mowed a zillion hours on them. Anything over a 4' mowing deck would be stressing that little engine. The Farmall A was a more practical tractor from the point of power.

I'm sure someone has put a 3-point on a Cub, but I've not come across any aftermarket 3-point kits.

Running a post hole auger would be taxing that engine and drive train a lot, in my opinion.

If you need turf tires, go to a good tire store where they sell a lot of farm tires and they should be glad to set you up with turf tires. Be prepared for sticker shock on the price of tires!
