do not use sealants on carb gaskets the gas will detiereate the sealant that has been exsposed on the inside of the carb and could posibly plug small orfices or neddle seats. as for cleaning carbs i've found top job works good and will not eat carbs made of certain metal if left in over night. hope it helps.
