Check throttle rod for loosness where it goes through the carb body. If it is leaking too much air in around it, the idle mixture adjustment will have little or no effect, and tractor will idle very rough. A good carb shop can correct the problem by boring and bushing the carb body if the throttle rod is not worn too much. I hope you locate a simpler, cheaper to fix problem tho. Benny
