Doug, Nasty job. If the ones there are half way workable, leave them alone. Al is right; you need a spcial tool and probably need to haul the block to a machine shop that says they have that special tool. Later, you might find out they installed the new bearings with their standard 350 Chevy tool. If you're not hot tanking the block -- and it doesn't have any cracks in the webbing you're fixing for the cam bearings -- and you're not precision honing the cylinders -- leave it be with the old cam bearings. I've replaced alot of cam bearings and wondered why I did it. And left a lot in place and have never seen ill results. In other words -- if it ain't broke really bad, don't fix it. Or -- in the words of the famous engine builder, Wadell Wilson, a loose engine makes more power. Steve
