In the early 50's a neighbor bought a new riding garden tractor. The motor was a rope start air cooled engine (for some reason I believe it was a Wisconsin). A shaft came out the right side of the engine and a chain went down to the transmission. It had a hand clutch mounted on the same shaft that drove the chain. A metal handle (similar to one on a portable pipe threader) extended back towards the steering wheel and you pushed out to engage the clutch and pushed it back towards the engine to disengage the clutch. The steering wheel was horizontal with a shaft that went straight down to some kind of linkage that turned the front wheels. Does anyone have any idea what brand this might have been or some pictures you could post or email me so I could see if it is what I remembered. I would like to look for one of these to restore but I don't even know what I am looking for at this point. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful forum!!!! Jim
