If this is LT80 tractor,build date would be early 70s(1973ish),probably built by Jacobsen or Gilson.Lawn tractors for most major Ag dealers were contract built,except IH &JD.Believe Jacobsen built Fords along with Massey,Moline,Oliver,Case.Allis&Homelite were Simplicity built.Tranny is probably Eaton,Spicer,Dana,Foote,or Peerless,which were again contract built for various Mfg.Tranny case shouldd have tag/markings.Check Yahoo Groups as there is a grup there for Jacobsen/Ford collectors.....Hope this helps
