Unfortunately, the lien is not enforced in most states, so if you couldn't get a check from the guy in the first place, you now have the paperwork that says you have a lien but still no actual money - how are you going to collect from the guy who didn't pay you in the first place? :( Friend who was in the construction business - won all the court battles, never saw the $6,000. But had lots of nice pieces of paper said he was owed the money.... --->Paul
