Farmall 100/C ub Mower Swap

OK Here goes- I've got a cub with a woods 42. I also have a 100 - Not running yet (only pd $200 for it last year with 3pt mower, disk, and plows). IF & WHEN it's running, can I swap the belly mower to it? I know the PTO on the cub turns reverse of normal, but can I just put a twist in the belt to make it function? I've got some thick bahia grass that I don't always get cut in time and it sure loads up the cub trying to cut it. Takes at least 2 passes most times. The extra oomph from the 100 would be most welcome if my idea will work. Thanks for any info..... dcm
