If you had a reaction that bad you've probably been stung before, you may have forgotten. I'd see an allergist because with a severe reaction like that you may go into anaphylaxis (shock) the next time you're stung. You may need to carry a epinephrine injector when you go out. I'm not trying to scare you but better to be safe than sorry. Swelling up that much and getting dizzy is not a typical reaction. Benadryl also is good to keep handy. Your reaction may increase in severity with every exposure so it's a good idea to consult your doc to find out if this is a concern for you. Good luck, John S-B Firefighter-EMT.
