If the 601 has the 5 speed you are in luck. It has a two-stage clutch that disengages with the one pedal. First stage stops tractor yet leaves the PTO run. Step on down and the PTO stops. If it is the 4-speed an overruning pto clutch is mandatory...Good tractors.
