I was wondering how many of you folks have fallen on hard times recently as far as planting goes. It seems that the weather has a vendetta against the farmers in my area (S.Central Ohio). I just got my latest forecast from a pretty reliable guy in Cincy and he's callin for a significant drop in temps over this weekend(after, of course, another day and a half of heavy rain). This cool weather is supposed to continue with more chances for "light" rain or thunderstorms (that's how he put it) next week. I've seen a few hard springs but this one takes the cake for me. I've got a good size acreage of alfalfa to plant and I may just have to leave it in the bag. I've got a bad feeling as well that this spring wetness will only lead into a bad summer drought. I could be wrong but that's my thoughts on it. How many of you all are havin the same trouble? Hope the Lord blesses each of us as we struggle (again) to put food on the table for America. God bless, Old Fashioned Farmer
